Jon Campbell instructs
This Thursday, 10/22, 5-6:30 p.m.
Five (5) spaces available for BoP's "What is wampum?" class this Thursday.
Jon Campbell, originally a member of the Penobscot people in Maine, has been living in Rhode Island for several decades. He was recently inducted into the Rhode Island Hall of Fame last year; his jewelry, often made from the purple quahog shell, can be instantly recognized as a 'Campbell' creation.
BoP is hosting Jon this Thursday, October 22, 5-6:30 p.m. in the Hope Barn. Jon will give us a small history of the development and use of wampum currency in New England. He will also demonstrate how to make it. Refreshments served. Bring your own quahogs or use some of ours.
Cost of class is $20 USD; not 20 wampum. Sign up at firstname.lastname@example.org or reply here.
ALL ANTI-COVID PROTOCOLS STRICTLY ADHERED.
Hope Barn is a very large space where social distancing can easily be maintained.
